Join the InnoAquaTech matchmaking event during Aquaculture Europe in Dubrovnik!

Stakeholders of innovative aquaculture from the South Baltic area are kindly invited to

exchange their ideas and gain business contacts with actors from Denmark, Poland, Lithuania and Germany.

The InnoAquaTech team is holding a matchmaking event during the Aquaculture Europe 2017 conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia this 18 October. The matchmaking event will take place 14.00 – 18.00 local time on October 18th 2017 at the Importanne Hotel and Resort, which is located close to the main conference venue.

We expect around 30 participants, and it will be an excellent opportunity to come together to discuss current and future developments in the field, present business opportunities and forge new contacts.

Sustainable, innovative aquaculture is becoming increasingly important for a healthy and sustainable diet as well as for achieving good environmental status of our seas and oceans.

This is one of the reasons why the EU project InnoAquaTech was launched.By promoting cross-border cooperation between actors active in the innovative aquaculture field, the project aims at boosting aquaculture technology development in the South-Baltic area.

In order to bring together producers, engineers and researchersof modernRAS, the InnoAquaTech team is holding a matchmaking event during the Aquaculture Europe 2017 conference in Dubrovnik this October. We expect around 30 participants, and it will be an excellent opportunity to come together to discuss current and future developments in the field, present business opportunities and forge new contacts.

We would like to invite to thismatchmaking event stakeholdersof innovative aquaculture in Poland. It will be a great opportunity to exchange the ideas and gain business contactswith actors from Denmark, Lithuania, Germany and other counties.

Consultation Seminar
of Blue Growth Stakeholders

Within the framework of the project Smart Blue Regions, Maritime Institute in Gdańsk together with Pomorskie in the EU Association organised Consultation Seminar of Blue Growth Stakeholders. The invitation to the meeting was sent to members of the partnership of the Pomorskie maritime smart specialisation and members of the Association of Polish Maritime Industries Forum Okrętowe. The seminar was attended by 4 people, representing the following sectors: biotechnology, seaports, shipbuilding and marine clusters.
The purpose of the meeting was to verify by stakeholders the database (prepared within the project) of entities operating in the maritime industry in the regions participating in the project. The database of entities was depicted in the form of maps, presenting potential in particular sectors:
  • Machinery & Technology
  • Life Science & Blue Medicine
  • Energy
The second goal of the seminar was to identify potential topics and areas in which participants would like to establish international co-operation. Interested in establishing such cooperation will be invited by the SBR project to participate in the conference of SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth EEIG (27-28.09.2017), to be held in Berlin on which the results of these consultations will also be presented. Potential co-operation can be concluded within any EU financial program.

"Baltic InteGrid" (Integrated Baltic offshore wind electricity grid development) is directed to transmission system operators, OWE industry, policymakers, national authorities, academia and all those who may be interested in the development of wind energy at the Baltic Sea. The aim of the project is to find optimal solutions for development of power grid, which is currently one of the major bottlenecks in the development of renewable energy sources in the Baltic Sea Regions.

Smart Specialisation and Blue Growth in the Baltic Sea Region

On 30 November and 1 December 2016 the second meeting of the Smart Blue Regions ”Smart Specialisation and Blue Growth in the Baltic Sea Region" took place in Narva (Estonia). Maritime Institute in Gdańsk as a project partner was represented by the Project Management Centre of MIG.

The aim of the project is to support the "blue" development in coastal regions of the Baltic Sea through an effective implementation of the smart specializations strategies related to the maritime economy, an exchange of a good practice and identification of common future directions of the cooperation between the regions.
The goals of the meeting:

  • Analysis of completed actions:
    • RIS 3 in involved regions,
    • regional policy in the aspect of RIS3,
    • interregional cooperation,
  • Workplan for the next 6 months.
