CEDA-MIG Joint Symposium on Advances in Dredging Technology 2018

The Symposium will be held on 10th October in Gdansk Science and Technology Park. The Symposium is organised by Central Dredging Association (CEDA) and Maritime Institute in Gdansk supported by Gdansk Science and Technology Park (GSTP), Pomeranian Special Economic Zone and Baltic Port Organisation (BPO). The aim of the event is knowledge exchange between international and local experts on high-interest topics for senior members of the professional dredging community. Whether you represent the industry as a project owner, dredging contractor, consultant, researcher or manufacturer, attending this Symposium will be an invaluable use of your time.

We are in the process of finalising the one-day programme which will:

  • draw on the collective knowledge and experience of CEDA’s Environment Commission and Dredging Management Commission to provide the latest details on their current work including: beneficial use of sediments; energy efficiency of dredging projects, dredging technology developments versus requirements; how to avoid project booby traps; and more;
  • include presentations from local speakers representing MIG, GSTP and BPO and will cover the latest on placing dredged sediment in the Baltic Sea; and an update on GSTP projects;
  • include a site visit to Port of Gdansk and a brainstorming session followed by a Symposium dinner.

You can expect a full day of updates, current thinking and best practice, with plenty of opportunities to network with your fellow senior professionals. The full programme will be available very soon but, in the meantime, put the date in your diary and register your place.
