SUBMARINER Network and Polish MSP presented at the „Baltic Sea Week” in Sweden, 1st July 2014

SUBMARINER Network - flagship project of the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and issue of Polish Maritime Spatial Plan was presented by Joanna Przedrzymirska, Maritime Institute Gdansk, at the „Baltic Sea Week” - An International Day - „We cannot do it alone - How to save the sea on shores across borders”. The event was arranged by Council of the Baltic Sea States in Visby, Gotland, Sweden on 1st July 2014.

The conference aimed to raise awareness on the environmental status of the Baltic Sea as well as show-casing and discussing cross-border cooperation to save the Baltic Sea waters while ensuring prosperous economies and promoting sustainable development on land.

During the session “ Sustainable innovation, blue and green economy – consistent approaches to innovation and increased sustainability” Joanna Przedrzymirska presented SUBMARINER Network, European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG). Polish MSP process was presented at the session „The sea as a resource - protect it and use it responsibly”.
